Preparing to Come

Concerts and other programs at the Badlands Amp are outdoor events, and we suggest you prepare for hot, cold, and wet conditions. It's a good idea to pack a hat, blanket, jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, insect repellent, and rainwear with a hood. Umbrellas and picnic coolers are not permitted as they block sight lines and aisles. Please note that, due to the sensitive acoustics in the amphitheatre, we are unable to accommodate babies and children under the age of six. The parking lot opens two hours before a performance, and the amphitheatre gates open one hour prior to the performance. We suggest coming 45 minutes to 1 hour early in order to give yourself time to park, grab something to eat or drink, and find your seats.  If you find you’ve forgotten something you need, please check the gift shop.

Badlands Amp concerts go Rain or Shine and tickets are non-refundable. If weather conditions become unsafe for the performer or audience members, the concert will be cancelled due to an Act of God, and a charitable tax receipt will be provided for the full value of the ticket (excluding GST and Parking).

Venue Information

The Badlands Amp accepts cash, debit, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and AmEx).  There is an ATM on site and debit is available at some tills but cash keeps the lines moving quickly.  If you need any assistance during your visit, please look for a volunteer in a blue shirt.  The amphitheatre has wooden steps with loose shale and uneven ground, please watch your step.

Your seat section, row and number will be on your ticket. Section A is on the left, closest to the main entrance and washrooms. A centre pathway divides the auditorium between the Green and Blue sections. Seats are tiered, wooden benches with back support and lots of legroom. You're welcome to bring your own cushion for comfort, or purchase one from the Badlands Gift Shop.  All connecting paths are shale or gravel.

The parking lot opens 2 hours before each performance and is staffed by volunteer attendants who will guide you to your spot. Parking spots for motorcylces and RV's are available, however no overnight parking is permitted.  If you need wheelchair parking, please make sure your sticker is displayed for the attendants. Golf cart shuttles from the parking lot to the Amphitheatre are only available during Passion Play performances, so please let our attendants know if there are mobility concerns within your party.

Parking Passes are available at the gate for $10/vehicle (cash only; space may be limited)

Prepaid Parking Passes are available from our Box Office or website, and are $7/vehicle

Our concession offers a variety of light meals, snacks, and refreshments and accepts cash, credit, and debit cards.

Bottled water is available from the concession and there are outdoor taps throughout the venue to refill your bottles. Water fountains and accessible washrooms are also available on-site.
